Celebrity Diamond and Sapphire Necklaces and Rings

Diamond and sapphire necklaces, rings, earrings and cufflinks are as popular as ever. This was very much in evidence at the 2006 Golden Globe awards in Tinsel Town where just as in old style Hollywood, glamorous stars were seen wearing entire suites of diamond and sapphire jewelry including diamond and sapphire necklaces, bracelets, brooches, hair pieces, anklets, arm bands and earrings. A good example of everything old being new again was the choice of jewels worn by film actress Marisa Tomei. Sex and The City actress Cynthia Nixon was also spotted with a diamond and sapphire suite that included a necklace and a ring boasting big beautiful star sapphires.

There were also plenty of drop style earrings to go with the diamond and sapphire necklaces that blazed on celebrity collarbones. Nicolette Sheridan, of Desperate Housewives fame wore stunning egg shaped 14-carat gold sapphire drops that matched a giant oval ten-carat diamond and sapphire ring that was supplied to her by the House of Harry Winston.

Also in evidence were many diamond and sapphire encrusted stackable cuffs worn to go with the glamorous diamond and sapphire bracelets. Some of these bracelets were actually bangles paved with yellow, pink or blue sapphire chips. It wasn't just blue sapphires that were in evidence at the 2006 Golden Globes. Yellow, pink and white sapphires also adorned celebrities who were into the more youthful multi-colored gem stone look.
